Privacy policy
Who we are
This website is run by Global Impact and Sustainable Development (GISD), Port-au-Prince, Haiti. For any question about your personal data, write to our Data Officer at contact@gisdfordev.com.
What we collect and why
- Contact form: your name, organization, work email, topic and message, to reply to your request.
- Associate expert network: your name, email, main area of work, country of residence, sectors, working languages, a link to your CV or LinkedIn profile and any note you add, to contact you about assignments that match your profile.
- Every visit: technical data recorded by our hosting and security tools, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
- Visit statistics, only if you accept: Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages are useful. Until you accept, no analytics cookie is set.
- Videos: when you press Play, YouTube receives your request; the video plays from youtube-nocookie.com.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising or share it with third parties for their own purposes.
Legal basis
We process form data and analytics data with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on each form or accepting statistics in the cookie banner. We process technical data because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Who can see your data
Authorized GISD staff only. Messages are stored on our website, hosted by Namecheap, and forwarded to our mailbox, managed through Google (Gmail). Visit statistics are processed by Google Analytics. These providers process data on our behalf and may store it outside Haiti.
How long we keep it
- Contact messages: 24 months after our last exchange, including copies in our mailbox.
- Expert network profiles: until you ask us to remove them, or 3 years without contact. We write to members once a year to ask them to update or confirm their profile.
- Technical logs: as long as our hosting and security tools keep them, usually a few weeks.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time by writing to contact@gisdfordev.com. We reply within 30 days.
